Kylian Mbappe has surged to the top of the UEFA Champions League scoring charts following an outstanding performance for Real Madrid in Wednesday’s 4-3 win over Olympiacos. The French forward netted four goals in the match, overtaking Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen to claim the lead.

Mbappe now has a total of nine goals this season, three more than Osimhen, who has six. Prior to the Olympiacos clash, Mbappe had five goals, but his four-goal performance propelled him ahead of fellow top scorers, including Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, who each have five goals.

Other players making an impact on the scoring chart include Newcastle duo Harvey Barnes and Anthony Gordon, Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli, Inter’s Lautaro Martínez, Barcelona’s Marcus Rashford, and Paris’ Vitinha, all with four goals so far this season.

Mbappe’s performance underlines his continued influence in Europe’s premier club competition, and he now stands out as the player to watch as the Champions League progresses toward its decisive stages.
