Chelsea and West Ham United have been fined a combined £625,000 following a mass confrontation involving players during their Premier League meeting at Stamford Bridge in January.
Chelsea were handed a £325,000 fine, while West Ham were ordered to pay £300,000 after disciplinary proceedings by the Football Association.
The incident occurred deep into stoppage time when tensions escalated after Chelsea forward Joao Pedro reacted angrily to a shove from West Ham winger Adama Traore involving defender Marc Cucurella.
Players from both teams became involved in a heated altercation that halted play. Following a lengthy Video Assistant Referee (VAR) review, West Ham defender Jean-Clair Todibo was shown a straight red card by referee Anthony Taylor for grabbing Joao Pedro by the neck.
In a statement, the Football Association said Chelsea were charged with failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly manner during the incident.
West Ham faced similar charges for failing to prevent their players from engaging in behaviour described as improper, provocative, or violent. Both clubs admitted to the offences.
An independent regulatory commission reviewed the case, taking into account previous breaches of FA Rule E20.1 by both sides before determining the financial penalties. The rule prohibits conduct considered improper, offensive, threatening, abusive, or provocative during matches.
The sanctions add to ongoing disciplinary scrutiny surrounding player behaviour in high-intensity Premier League fixtures.
