Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark is set to participate in the WNBA All-Star 3-point contest for the first time, marking a highly anticipated debut during the league’s showcase weekend in Indianapolis.

Clark, one of the league’s most high-profile newcomers, had previously opted out of any involvement during the NBA All-Star festivities earlier this year. Her representatives had made it clear she preferred her first All-Star competition to take place during the WNBA weekend—and in front of her home crowd.

Joining Clark in the 3-point contest will be New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu, who holds the all-time record in the event after a sensational performance in 2023. That year, Ionescu hit 25 of 27 attempts in the final round, finishing with an unprecedented 37 points—still the highest score ever recorded in a 3-point contest across both the WNBA and NBA. She confirmed her participation this year after recovering fully from an injury setback.

Allisha Gray, last season’s standout, will return to defend her titles in both the 3-point contest and Skills Challenge. In 2024, Gray narrowly edged out Jonquel Jones with a 22–21 win in the shootout and later beat Sophie Cunningham by two seconds to claim the skills crown. She remains the only player to win both contests in a single year.

Other players set to compete in the 3-point shootout include Los Angeles Sparks guard Kelsey Plum and Washington Mystics rookie Sonia Citron, both known for their long-range prowess.

The Skills Challenge will also feature Natasha Cloud (New York Liberty), Skylar Diggins and Erica Wheeler (Seattle Storm), and Courtney Williams (Minnesota Lynx), all expected to deliver high-tempo performances.

This year’s All-Star festivities also coincide with a proud moment for Nigerian-American forward Kiki Iriafen, who was named a 2025 WNBA All-Star following a breakout campaign with the Washington Mystics. Her selection adds to the international flavor of a star-studded weekend expected to draw significant attention.

As the WNBA’s brightest stars prepare to showcase their skill, accuracy, and athleticism, fans are in for a thrilling display that highlights the league’s growing talent and global appeal.
