Lakers legend LeBron James shared candid insights into his relationship with his son, Bronny, following the young athlete’s move into his own apartment.

The NBA star returned to the court on Tuesday night, recording a double-double as the Lakers defeated the Utah Jazz 140–126 in his 2025 season debut.

In a post-game interview, LeBron acknowledged that his communication with Bronny has changed since he gained independence.

“He’s not living at home anymore, so we don’t talk as much,” LeBron said. “He has his own place now, but he’s doing great.”

Reflecting on Bronny’s growth, LeBron added: “It’s been incredible to watch him develop. He just turned 21 recently and is still learning, getting better with each and every rep.”

Bronny has participated in 10 games so far this season, averaging 11.1 minutes per game. Over those appearances, he has averaged 2.1 points, 0.9 rebounds, and 1.8 assists.

LeBron’s remarks highlight the evolving dynamic between father and son, balancing mentorship and letting Bronny carve out his own path, both on and off the court.
