Thirty-four countries have officially secured their spots for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to be the first edition featuring 48 teams.
On Monday night, Germany and the Netherlands became the latest nations to qualify. Germany sealed their place with a dominant 6-0 victory over Slovakia at the Red Bull Arena, while the Netherlands booked their spot after a 4-0 win against Lithuania.
The expansion from 32 teams, which participated in the 2022 Qatar World Cup, marks a significant increase in representation from all continents.
