Galatasaray Pursues Ederson Amid Final Negotiations for Osimhen

Galatasaray are intensifying their summer recruitment plans, now setting their sights on Manchester City’s Ederson Moraes, as the Turkish champions approach the final stages of negotiations to land Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.

With long-serving goalkeeper Fernando Muslera ending his 11-year tenure at the club following the close of last season, Galatasaray has made signing a top-tier replacement a priority. Ederson has emerged as a leading candidate to fill the void between the sticks.

Reports from Haber Sarikirmizi indicate that the Süper Lig side has already been briefed on the Brazilian’s wage expectations, with the 31-year-old demanding an annual salary of €15 million. Ederson, who joined City in 2027, has played a pivotal role in the club’s recent dominance both domestically and in Europe.

Although he currently remains under contract with the Premier League champions, Ederson’s future appears uncertain. He came close to joining a Saudi Arabian side earlier in the year and is believed to have received a lucrative new offer from the Gulf region, worth €25 million annually. Despite the financial appeal, Galatasaray remains hopeful—bolstered by Osimhen’s decision to reject a more financially rewarding move to Saudi Arabia in favor of their project.

The club’s qualification for the UEFA Champions League has fueled an aggressive summer strategy, already reflected in the acquisition of Leroy Sane and the ongoing pursuit of Osimhen. While Ederson’s transfer fee has not yet been disclosed, the fact that the Brazilian has just one year left on his City contract could work in Galatasaray’s favor.

As the Turkish giants aim to reestablish their presence on the European stage, their transfer ambitions this summer send a clear message: Galatasaray are ready to compete with Europe’s elite—on and off the pitch.
