Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has been named Sportsman of the Year at the 2025 GQ Türkiye Men of the Year Awards.
The 26-year-old striker was honoured at a star-studded ceremony on Wednesday night, in recognition of his stellar performances for Galatasaray last season. Osimhen played a pivotal role in helping the club secure a domestic double, scoring 37 goals and providing seven assists across all competitions.
This season, he has continued his impressive form, netting 11 goals in 14 appearances under coach Okan Buruk.
Osimhen’s achievement is historic, as he becomes the first Nigerian to receive the accolade at the prestigious Turkish awards.
