Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen is expected to be fit for the club’s high-profile Istanbul derby against Fenerbahce on December 1, Galatasaray president Durzan Özbek has confirmed.
Osimhen, 26, is currently recovering from an injury sustained while on international duty with Nigeria last Sunday, which ruled him out of Galatasaray’s Super Lig clash against Gençlerbirliği on Saturday.
Speaking to Hurriyet, Özbek said the forward’s recovery is progressing well: “He is expected to have a recovery period of approximately two weeks. Our focus is on ensuring he is ready for the Fenerbahçe match, and our medical team is working hard to achieve that.”
The Nigerian international has been in outstanding form this season, scoring nine goals in 12 league appearances, making him a key figure for Galatasaray as they prepare for one of the season’s most anticipated fixtures.
