Former Manchester United defender Wes Brown has expressed strong confidence in Marcus Rashford’s ability to make a significant impact at Barcelona — even comparing his maturity favorably to that of young star Lamine Yamal.
Rashford recently joined Barcelona on a season-long loan with an option to buy, marking a fresh chapter after mixed seasons at Manchester United and a loan spell at Aston Villa. “Marcus has got the experience to match the level at Barcelona,” Brown told Goal. “Yamal is incredibly talented — a different breed — but Marcus will be aiming to show what he can do and match that within the team.”
While Rashford and Yamal play different styles, Brown says Rashford’s maturity and fitness set him apart. “He’s older now, but still quick, strong, and very fit. He’ll be trying to replicate what he did at Manchester United over many years.
