Kai Trump, granddaughter of former US President Donald Trump and a rising YouTube golf star, is preparing for her first LPGA Tour appearance next month. The Florida high school senior has received a sponsor’s invitation to compete in The ANNIKA at Pelican Golf Club, running from November 10–16, with live coverage on Sky Sports.

Though she is set to join the University of Miami golf team in 2026, Trump will temporarily step away from her college path to make her professional debut at one of the LPGA Tour’s most competitive events outside the majors. The ANNIKA is the penultimate stop on the LPGA schedule and is known for attracting a strong field, offering Trump a unique opportunity to test her skills against some of the world’s best players.

With over six million followers across social media platforms, Trump has quickly built a significant profile beyond the course. She recently launched her own apparel and lifestyle brand aimed at empowering young women in sports, and she continues to compete in amateur events nationally with the American Junior Golf Association as well as in local Florida tournaments. She currently ranks No. 461 in the AJGA Girls rankings after participating in three events this year.

The tournament field is packed with talent. Defending champion Nelly Korda, along with top stars Lydia Ko and Charley Hull, are expected to compete. WNBA standout Caitlin Clark will also take part in the pro-am for the second consecutive year, adding to the excitement surrounding the event.

“This has always been my dream — to compete with the best in the world on the LPGA Tour,” Trump said on social media. “This event will be an incredible experience. I’m looking forward to meeting and playing against so many of my heroes and mentors in golf as I make my LPGA Tour debut.”

Ricki Lasky, LPGA chief tour business and operations officer, highlighted the importance of sponsor exemptions in introducing new talent to the sport. “Kai’s broad following is helping bring golf to younger audiences and expanding the LPGA’s visibility,” Lasky said. “We’re proud to support her journey and grateful to our partners in Florida who help elevate women’s golf and inspire the next generation of players.”

Trump’s connection to the sport runs in the family. Earlier this year, she and President Trump were both on the first tee at the Ryder Cup in New York, underscoring their shared enthusiasm for golf.

As she prepares for her LPGA Tour debut, all eyes will be on Trump to see how the young rising star fares against some of the biggest names in women’s golf.
